Personal

I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma with my husband, Dennis, of 32 years. We have raised five amazing children. I worked in graphic design before transitioning to full-time teacher. I homeschooled my children K-12. I love learning and teaching and continue to tutor students. I have taught children’s Sunday School for more than 20 years and have served in many areas of ministry. I have traveled to Honduras the past 11 years (except 2020) doing medical and helps ministries. We like hiking, biking, and backpacking and treasure time with our children and grandchildren. I enjoy reading, art and architecture, and being active.

I received my BFA degree in Art from the University of Tulsa, in Tulsa, OK, and worked in business graphics for fifteen years producing computer-generated graphics, a new industry at the time. I worked for Slidegraphics - Tulsa, Genigraphics - Atlanta, Design Network - St. Louis, and Communicating Arts - Tulsa, before becoming a full-time home educator. I have maintained my skills through the years doing freelance work.
